Danielle Murphy is a highly experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor and respected leader in the vocational rehabilitation sector, with more than 20 years’ experience supporting individuals, employers and systems to navigate complex psychological and workplace challenges with clarity, care and confidence.

She is known for her ability to step back from complexity, make sense of difficult situations and provide clear, practical guidance when progress feels stalled.

Danielle’s work is grounded in deep expertise in trauma, PTSD and neurodiversity, alongside extensive experience in vocational assessment, vocational counselling and career development. She supports people to make informed decisions about return to work, role redesign or career redirection, with a strong focus on outcomes that are realistic, meaningful and sustainable. Danielle has worked across high‑complexity vocational rehabilitation environments for many years, developing a nuanced understanding of systems, stakeholders and the commercial realities that influence outcomes. She currently serves as a Director of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC), contributing to professional leadership, governance and the ongoing development of the profession.

In addition to her clinical and leadership work, Danielle is an experienced training professional. She designs and delivers education programs and workshops across areas such as vocational counselling, vocational assessment, vicarious trauma, neurodiversity in the workplace and managing challenging behaviours. Her training is valued for its practical focus, evidence‑informed content and real‑world relevance.

Danielle is also an ADDCA‑accredited ADHD Coach, bringing specialist expertise in supporting neurodivergent individuals to build sustainable strategies for work, wellbeing and performance. Recognised for her contribution to the profession, she was awarded Rehabilitation Counsellor of the Year (2021 Allied Health Award).
